It's exciting, yet depressing. Exciting because I'm making a new creation for all of you to hear. Depressing because of how magical the last (and first true) experience was. It's difficult to not compare the two.
However, I am moving forward. Almost 1 song done and moving onto the 2nd this weekend. Still writing new songs everyday. Going to be difficult to choose what makes the EP.
To recap the past year, would be far to difficult....and long.
I miss a few things from last year. I miss Man vs. Machine being fresh and new to my ears and everyone else's. Although, I've found new inspiration in my old songs when performing them that touch even me. I guess its easy for songs written during such happy times, to touch you when you are so sad. Every time i perform songs like Bad For Business and Even When I'm With You, this nostalgic feeling just falls over me like a cloak. I've found myself tearing during shows, or even rehearsals recently. Which is why that even though I loved performing for all of you + with my awesome band. I'm happy to move on. Leave the old feelings as old feelings and the new ones to be discovered and written.
This really explains why artist's such as Elliott Smith were so depressed. If the songs you perform and wrote mean just as much to you as the person or experience they are about, then technically that song could haunt you forever. Causing you to re-live the pain and sadness everyday. This explains why artist's are always wanting to write new material, do new records etc. Also explains why big artist's who don't have a real emotional connection with their music wouldn't mind touring the same record for 3 years straight.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed my rant. i'll post more later.
stay tuned for studio videos and more!

Finally, peopel can get the future of music consumption on their computer. You can search me on Spotify as well and stream the whole ablum as if it was yours, for free.
My only issue with spotify at this moment is that there is no good way to discover music through them it seems. They only show popular/major label content. I think if they are going to take over, they need to have an editorial voice as well. Or at least allow companies to host their blogs on spotify for musical consumption. aka: "Pitchfork Spotify Profile". There you can view all the mp3's they've posted in chronilogical order.
Could be sweet.

We can't believe its been 1 year since Man vs. Machine was released. There have been many ups and equally as many downs, but Vinnie is trucking on. He'll be recording more material in the coming months and touring later this year to your city.
In the meantime, share the album with your friends. Spread the love. Its Free
